Accessible via a narrow dirt road, the reservoir features an island at its center and is encircled by the Wychitella State Forest. Visitors can enjoy free camping along the shoreline, swimming, fishing, boating, and bushwalking. Amenities include picnic areas, wood-fired barbecues, and a drop toilet. Dogs are permitted on-leash; however, caution is advised due to the presence of fox baits in the area. The reservoir also provides water to Wedderburn's sports grounds when available.
