Located on the Barrier Highway in Oodla Wirra, South Australia, the Oodla Wirra Quarantine Station plays a crucial role in safeguarding the state's fruit fly-free status. Established in 1980, it inspects vehicles entering from New South Wales and Queensland, ensuring that prohibited items like fresh fruit and vegetables are not brought into the state.
