Mount Chalmers Mine, located approximately 17 kilometers northeast of Rockhampton in Queensland, Australia, is a historic mining site with a rich legacy. Discovered in 1860, it began gold mining in 1869 and copper mining in 1899. The mine operated intermittently until 1982, producing significant quantities of copper, gold, and silver. In recent years, QMines Ltd has revitalized the site, uncovering high-grade copper and gold mineralization. Exploration efforts have identified multiple high-grade zones, with some gold samples reaching up to 256 grams per tonne. The project is progressing towards development, aiming to establish a sustainable copper and gold production hub in the region.
