Lake Gilles Conservation Park

Lake Gilles Conservation Park, located approximately 20 kilometers east of Kimba on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, offers a serene retreat into a semi-arid mallee landscape. The park features a saline lake encircled by low sandy rises, gypsum dunes, and isolated stony hills, creating a tranquil environment ideal for birdwatching. Accessible via the Eyre Highway, the park provides 2WD vehicle access to the lake, with the northern area adjacent to Lake Gilles accessible only by 4WD. Self-sufficient bush camping is permitted within the park, offering a free and immersive nature experience.
