The Joskeleigh South Sea Islander Museum, established in 2001, honors the contributions of South Sea Islanders to Queensland's history, particularly their role in the sugar industry since 1885. Located in the coastal community of Joskeleigh, approximately 40 kilometers east of Rockhampton, the museum is housed in the former Joskeleigh State School building at 356 Joskeleigh Road. Operated by volunteers, it is typically open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm, with Tuesday and Thursday visits available by appointment. The museum's collection includes research publications and a traveling photographic exhibition, complementing its array of artifacts.
