
Gunns Plains Caves, nestled in northwest Tasmania's Gunns Plains State Reserve, offers guided tours through a 275-meter limestone cave adorned with stunning calcite shawls, flowstones, and glowworms. Discovered in 1906 by Bill Woodhouse, the cave features an underground river home to platypus, freshwater crayfish, fish, and eels. Accessible via a 54-step descent, tours are available daily at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, and 3:30 pm. Visitors can also enjoy nearby camping, accommodations, and refreshments.
