Garners Beach

Garners Beach is a serene coastal locality in Queensland's Cassowary Coast Region, offering a tranquil retreat with its pristine beaches and lush rainforest surroundings. The area features two near-continuous pocket beaches nestled between bushy headlands, accessible via a road off Bingil Bay Road. The northern beach is approximately 300 meters long, bordered by low, rocky outcrops, while the main southern beach extends about 1.2 kilometers, offering a more protected environment with sandy flats and coral reefs. The southern headland is fringed by mangroves, enhancing the area's natural beauty. Garners Beach is also home to the Garners Beach Burial Ground, a heritage-listed site containing the graves of five members of the Garner family, who were instrumental in developing the area as a fruit-producing region in the early 20th century. With a population of just 31 residents, Garners Beach offers a peaceful and secluded environment, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a quiet coastal getaway.
