Esoteric Festival, once a vibrant electronic music, arts, and lifestyle event held annually in Donald, Victoria, has ceased operations as of June 2025. The festival's 2025 edition was abruptly canceled due to the Buloke Shire Council's refusal to grant the necessary Place of Public Entertainment Occupancy Permit, citing health and safety concerns. This decision led to the company's entry into voluntary administration, with debts exceeding $2.8 million owed to ticket holders, creditors, and employees. Despite efforts to revive the festival, its future remains uncertain.
