Nestled in the picturesque Byng Valley, Byng Church is a historic sandstone chapel renowned for its distinctive red-tipped spire and steep roof. Constructed in 1872 to replace an earlier 1842 Wesleyan Chapel, it was designed by architect Thomas Rowe, who also designed Sydney Hospital. The church, originally built for the Cornish Methodist community, now serves as a cherished venue for weddings and other events. Opposite the church lies a small cemetery, the final resting place of Parson William Tom, credited with discovering Australia's first payable gold in 1851.
