Nestled along the serene shores of Lake Awoonga, Boynedale Bush Camp offers a tranquil retreat for nature enthusiasts. This free camping area provides basic amenities, including composting toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, and shelters. Visitors can enjoy fishing for species like barramundi, Saratoga, and sea mullet, or engage in kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding on the calm waters. A nearby lookout offers panoramic views of the lake and Castletower National Park. Please note, there is no electricity, rubbish bins, or potable water; campers should bring their own supplies. Pets are discouraged due to the area's status as a wildlife sanctuary, but small dogs may be permitted if kept under strict control.
