Renison Tin Operation, located on Tasmania's west coast near Zeehan, is Australia's largest tin producer and one of the world's highest-grade tin mines. Jointly owned by Metals X Limited and Yunnan Tin Group, it has been a significant contributor to Tasmania's economy for over 50 years. The mine employs approximately 50% of its workforce locally, with the remainder residing in the Renison camp in Zeehan. Renison's rich history dates back to 1890, with modern mining commencing in 1958. The operation utilizes advanced processing techniques, including three-stage crushing, ore sorting, and flotation, to efficiently extract tin from the ore. Renison's commitment to sustainable mining practices is evident through its membership in the International Tin Association.
