Residents enjoy amenities such as twin-share huts with ensuites, air conditioning, and access to outdoor sitting areas, fruit trees, a fire pit, and a healing/memorial garden. Wami Kata also offers community care services, including nutritious home-cooked meals, assistance with daily activities, and transportation to medical appointments, with care plans tailored to individual needs. The facility has been recognized for its outstanding service, receiving the Organisation Award for Outstanding Service from the Port Augusta City Council in 2013.
