Maningrida Arts & Culture, located in Arnhem Land's Kunibídji country, is a vibrant hub for contemporary Aboriginal art. Established over 50 years ago, it represents more than 700 artists from the Maningrida region, encompassing over 100 clan estates and 12 distinct languages. The centre showcases diverse artworks, including bark paintings, sculptures, and fibre art, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the area. Its Djómi Museum houses a significant collection of national and international importance, featuring bark paintings, sculptures, and historical photographs. Visitors can explore the gallery and museum, with access requiring prior arrangement. The centre operates Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, excluding public holidays. To visit, permits from the Northern Land Council are necessary. Maningrida Arts & Culture continues to support artists, fostering a dynamic and enduring art movement rooted in ancestral connections to country and djang.
