Located 11 km northwest of Balaklava on Whitwarta Road, Balaklava Airfield serves as the base for the Balaklava Gliding Club. The club offers a range of gliding experiences, from air experience flights to comprehensive training programs for all ages. With a fleet of modern, well-maintained gliders, including the DG-1000, ASK 21, and Mini Nimbus, the club caters to both beginners and seasoned pilots. Flying operations typically occur on weekends, with mid-week sessions available by prior arrangement. Visitors are always welcome to observe or participate in the club's activities.
