Located midway between Roebourne and Port Hedland, Whim Creek Hotel is a historic landmark in Western Australia's Pilbara region. Established in 1886, it has served as a rest stop, hotel, and drinking establishment for most of the 20th century. The original tin-roofed structure was rebuilt multiple times after cyclones in the 1890s, mid-20th century, and 1990s. The current building, erected in the early 20th century, features a steel frame intended for the Marble Bar courthouse, which was repurposed after a cyclone stranded the materials. The hotel has been closed since 2018 and remains a notable site for travelers exploring the Pilbara region.
