Wheeler Place

Wheeler Place, located on Hunter Street in Newcastle's Cultural Precinct, is a versatile 1,200-square-metre open-air space ideal for exhibitions, conferences, product launches, and various entertainment events. Flanked by the historic Civic Theatre and adjacent to City Hall, the area offers a unique backdrop for gatherings. The space comprises three distinct sections: South Wheeler Place, Undercroft, and North Wheeler Place, each providing a blank canvas for diverse events. The Civic Public Domain Plan aims to enhance this area by introducing more green spaces, improving pedestrian and cycling connections, and adding amenities like a new lawn area and event screen.
