Located on Evans Street in Aldinga Beach, The Giving Garden transforms a previously vacant lot into a vibrant community space. Supported by the City of Onkaparinga and the Aldinga Beach Children’s Centre, this garden invites children, families, and the broader community to grow, pick, and enjoy fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Regular working bees and food and seed swaps foster community engagement and sustainability. The garden operates on a shared contribution model, welcoming all to participate in planting, harvesting, and maintaining the space. This initiative is funded by the City of Onkaparinga and supported by generous community members.
