St Joseph's Cathedral, located at the corner of William and West Streets in Rockhampton, Queensland, is a significant heritage-listed Roman Catholic cathedral. Designed by architect Francis Drummond Greville Stanley, the cathedral showcases a traditional Gothic Revival style with a cruciform plan, featuring a nave, side aisles, transepts, and two towers flanking the western front. The building is constructed from rock-faced coursed sandstone, with smooth-faced sandstone detailing, including coursing, mouldings, window and door surrounds, and tracery. The interior houses a black and white Italian marble "checkerboard" tiled floor and stained glass panels depicting scenes from the New Testament. The cathedral serves as the seat for the Bishop of Rockhampton and is a focal point for the local Catholic community.
