Completed in 1860, Semaphore Jetty was originally 652 meters long, providing berths for pilot and quarantine launches. Over time, it became a focal point for seaside activities, featuring segregated swimming baths, a kiosk, and a dance hall. Today, the jetty stands at 585 meters, offering picturesque views of the Adelaide coastline. It's a popular spot for fishing, with species like yellowfin whiting and bream commonly caught. The adjacent foreshore area includes picnic facilities, a playground, and the historic Semaphore Angel War Memorial Clock Tower.
