Established in 1870, Queens Gardens is Townsville's oldest botanic garden, covering 4 hectares at the base of Castle Hill. The gardens feature formal rose gardens, hedge mazes, a rainforest walk, and a small aviary housing native birds. Open daily from sunrise to sunset, they offer a tranquil retreat for residents and visitors alike. The gardens are also a popular venue for events and ceremonies.
