This reserve provides habitat for native animals like the short-beaked echidna. A 3-kilometer walk trail with two loops winds through the reserve, starting at the picnic area. Along the trail, informative signs highlight the area's wetlands, granite outcrops, and bushland, as well as the history of the traditional owners, the Balardong people, and early settlers. The reserve also features gnamma holes, which are important water sources for local wildlife.
