National Museum of Australian Pottery

Located in Holbrook, New South Wales, the National Museum of Australian Pottery showcases over 2,500 pieces from 132 Australian pottery companies established between 1788 and 1920. The collection features a diverse range of domestic pottery, including preserving jars, jugs, cheese covers, bread plates, and water filters. Notably, it includes rare works by convict potter Jonathan Leak, whose pieces are among the earliest marked Australian pottery. The museum also displays over 100 original photographs, catalogues, price lists, and advertisements, offering a comprehensive insight into Australia's pottery heritage.
