Nestled in Garfield North, Victoria, Mt Cannibal Flora and Fauna Reserve offers a 2.3 km loop walking track that challenges hikers with steep sections, steps, and rocks. The effort rewards visitors with panoramic views of Garfield and Garfield North. The reserve is home to diverse flora and fauna, including native orchids and tree goannas. Dogs are not permitted to protect the unique environment. Managed by Cardinia Shire in partnership with the Friends of Mt Cannibal volunteer group, the reserve continues to recover from the 2019 Bunyip Complex fires. A new walking track has been installed; visitors are encouraged to stay on the path to aid in the recovery and prevent erosion.
