Nestled in Bundaberg Central, the Masonic Hall at 61 Bourbong Street is a historic building that has been a community landmark for over a century. Originally a grocery store and lodgings, it was purchased by the Buss family in 1926 and donated to the Freemasons, who added distinctive features like the rare Masonic dome and pressed-metal ceiling. The hall comprises two temple rooms and a supper room, each with unique architectural elements. The Masonic dome, representing the heavens, is a standout feature, making this hall the only one of its kind in Australia.
