Nestled within a sheltered natural harbour, the Harbour of Mourilyan Harbour serves as a vital port facility in Queensland's Cassowary Coast Region. Primarily exporting raw sugar and molasses from the surrounding sugar-growing districts, it also handles woodchips and cattle. The port features onshore sugar and molasses handling and storage facilities, along with a single sugar loader and associated wharf. A state-of-the-art stockpile facility has facilitated the export of iron ore from a local mine, with shipments destined for Southern China.
