Greater Hume Visitor Information Centre and Holbrook Submarine Museum

Located in Holbrook's Submarine Precinct, the Greater Hume Visitor Information Centre offers comprehensive regional insights and a range of souvenirs. Adjacent to the Centre, the Holbrook Submarine Museum showcases a restored section of the Oberon Class submarine HMAS Otway, complete with an original control room, bunks, and a working periscope. Visitors can explore naval artifacts, including authentic submarine escape suits, a torpedo, and a genuine Jolly Roger flag. An engaging hologram presentation narrates the submarine's journey to Holbrook. The museum also features a wheelchair-friendly auditorium and offers guided tours for groups by prior arrangement. An extensive range of souvenirs, including postcards, mugs, t-shirts, caps, toys, and magnets, are available for purchase. The Submarine Park, located beside the HMAS Otway, includes a fenced playground, skate park, BBQ facilities, picnic tables, shade areas, and toilets.
