
Nestled in the heart of Kuranda's Heritage Markets, Frogs Restaurant offers a unique dining experience amidst lush tropical surroundings. Established in 1980 by Terrance Pates and now managed by Terry and his wife Victoria, it has become a beloved icon for both locals and visitors. The spacious open-plan area, adjacent to Birdworld and Koala Gardens, features an outdoor deck where water dragons often play at your feet. The extensive menu includes wild-caught barramundi, black Angus steaks, authentic Sri Lankan curries, and a tasting platter featuring kangaroo, crocodile, and emu. Guests can also enjoy excellent espresso, quality wines—including natural wines—and craft beers. Frogs Restaurant operates five days a week, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The venue is available for exclusive use most days and evenings from 3:30 pm, making it ideal for weddings, functions, or parties. Offsite catering services are also offered.
