The 400-meter Olympic-standard track features ten lanes, a 100-meter straight for sprints and hurdles, and a steeplechase lane with a water pit. Dedicated areas accommodate long jump, pole vault, high jump, discus, hammer throw, and javelin events. The grass infield is regularly used for soccer matches. The venue includes a covered grandstand with seating, changerooms, public toilets, and a kiosk. Parking is available with 250 spaces. The centre hosts events like the Briggs Track Classic, the Tasmanian round of the Australian Athletics Tour.
