Djanbung Gardens

Djanbung Gardens, located in Nimbin, NSW, is a renowned permaculture education centre and demonstration farm. Established in 1994 by permaculture pioneer Robyn Francis, the 5-acre property has transformed from a degraded cow pasture into a thriving example of sustainable living. The gardens showcase diverse permaculture systems, including organic vegetable gardens, food forests, and integrated orchards. Visitors can explore the gardens through self-guided tours available on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm, or book a guided tour to delve deeper into the principles of permaculture. Djanbung Gardens also serves as the home campus for Permaculture College Australia, offering a range of courses and workshops on sustainable practices. The on-site Abundance Café provides meals made from locally sourced ingredients, enhancing the experience of this living, learning environment.
