
DeMolay House, located at 90 Margaret Street in East Toowoomba, Queensland, is a historic building with a rich past. Constructed between 1861 and 1864, it originally served as the Toowoomba Court House. In 1882, the building was repurposed into a women's reformatory, reflecting its adaptability over time. Following the closure of the reformatory in 1903, the structure underwent various transformations, including serving as a museum and a guest house named Rutlands. In 1960, the DeMolay Order acquired the property, renaming it DeMolay House. Today, it continues to serve as a community hub, hosting various activities and events. The building's architectural features and historical significance make it a notable landmark in the region.
