Claremont Football Club, established in 1924, is a prominent Australian rules football team competing in Tasmania's Southern Football League. Nicknamed the Magpies, the club has a rich history, securing multiple premierships in both the Southern Amateur and Southern Football Leagues. Home games are played at Abbotsfield Park, a venue they've called home since 1971. The club's traditional black and white striped uniforms are reminiscent of the Collingwood Football Club. In 2017, Claremont expanded its reach by introducing a team in the Southern Football League Women's Competition, further solidifying its commitment to the community.
