Burrundie, located approximately 30 km north of Pine Creek in the Northern Territory, is a rural locality with a population of 35. Established in the late 1880s as a mining settlement, it was abandoned after 1900. Today, the area comprises mostly rural land holdings and is officially defined for administrative purposes. The name "Burrundie" is believed to be derived from the local Aboriginal name for the area surrounding Mount Wells, a prominent feature in the locality.
