Burdekin Men's Shed Association Inc

The Burdekin Men's Shed Association Inc. offers a welcoming space for men aged 18 and over to connect, share skills, and support each other's well-being. Operating from five council-leased sheds at 155-157 Young Street, Ayr, the association provides a variety of activities, including woodworking, metal fabrication, and mechanical repairs. Members can also enjoy social games, a modern kitchen, and a library. Meet and greet sessions are held every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 11:30 am, with general meetings on the third Saturday of each month at 1:30 pm. A guest speaker addresses men's health topics at each meeting. Membership fees are $10 for new members and $40 annually, payable on July 1st each year. The association is a not-for-profit organization, registered with the Australian Men's Shed Association, and relies on fundraising, grants, and donations to support its activities.
