Brown Hill Creek / Willawilla

Nestled in the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges, just eight kilometers south of Adelaide's city center, Brown Hill Creek Recreation Park offers a serene escape into nature. The park's narrow creek, known as Willawilla in the Kaurna language, winds through a steep-sided valley adorned with majestic river red gums, some over 300 years old. This area, once a favored camping and gathering spot for the Kaurna people, now features walking and hiking trails, picnic areas, and a horse exercise area, providing a tranquil retreat for visitors.
