Drummond North, located in Victoria's Shire of Hepburn and Mount Alexander Shire, is a tranquil locality renowned for its picturesque landscapes and rich agricultural heritage. The area is primarily a wine-growing and livestock region, with Back Creek, a tributary of the Coliban River, meandering through the locality, creating a 30-degree hill. Native wildlife, including kangaroos, are plentiful in number. The Drummond North Post Office, which opened on 1 April 1885 and closed in 1956, reflects the area's historical significance. As of the 2016 census, Drummond North had a population of 187.
