Chepstowe Vineyard

Chepstowe Vineyard, established in 1994, is a cool-climate winery located 30 km west of Ballarat in Carngham, Victoria. The vineyard's unique topography protects it from harsh frosts, creating an ideal environment for growing cool-climate grapes. This extended ripening period results in wines with mature and complex flavors. The vineyard produces Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Shiraz, each reflecting the region's distinctive terroir. The Thain family, who acquired the vineyard in 2004, have a deep appreciation for the land and its rich grey loam, which imparts unique character to the fruit. Despite challenges like the 2013 Carngham bushfire, the vineyard has persevered, continuing to produce premium quality wines.
