Perched on a dramatic headland east of Seal Rocks village, Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse offers breathtaking coastal views and is a prime location for whale watching. Completed in 1875, it was the first lighthouse designed by colonial architect James Barnet and features one of only two external stairways in Australia. The lighthouse stands 15 meters tall and retains its original Chance Brothers lantern. Below the lighthouse, the refurbished Lighthouse Keepers' quarters and outbuildings provide holiday accommodation for visitors. The area is also home to three memorials dedicated to individuals associated with the lighthouse. Access involves an 800-meter walk from the car park at the southern end of Boat Beach Seal Rocks, with a steep final climb to the lighthouse platform.
