Mamukala Wetlands, located in Kakadu National Park, offers photographers a serene environment to capture diverse birdlife and natural beauty. A wheelchair-accessible 3 km loop walk meanders through paperbark forests and wetlands, leading to a spacious bird hide. This hide provides unobstructed views of the billabong, where photographers can observe and photograph species such as magpie geese, kites, comb-crested jacanas, cormorants, willie wagtails, purple swamphens, finches, and kingfishers. The area is also home to agile wallabies and the occasional crocodile. The bird hide is wheelchair accessible, and the first loop walk is unsealed but flat.
