Lake Tyrrell

Lake Tyrrell, Victoria's largest salt lake, offers photographers a unique canvas with its expansive salt crusts and reflective surfaces. Located seven kilometers north of Sea Lake, the lake spans over 20,000 hectares, providing ample space for exploration. Its shallow waters, especially during winter, create mirror-like reflections of the sky, making it a haven for astrophotography enthusiasts. The surrounding environment is rich in wildlife, including Mallee reptiles, kangaroos, emus, and a variety of bird species. The area also features a viewing platform and information bay, enhancing the visitor experience.
