Lake Gilles Conservation Park

Lake Gilles Conservation Park, located near Kimba on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, offers a serene environment for nature enthusiasts and photographers. The park features a saline lake surrounded by low sandy rises, gypsum dunes, and isolated stony hills, providing a peaceful setting to observe and photograph diverse birdlife. Notable species include the Malleefowl, Slender-billed Thornbill, and Thick-billed Grasswren. The Eyre Highway passes through the park, offering 2WD access to the lake, while the northern area adjacent to Lake Gilles is accessible only by 4WD.
