Danggali Conservation Park, located approximately 346 kilometers from Adelaide, offers a vast wilderness experience dominated by mallee scrubland. The park is home to diverse wildlife, including Major Mitchell's cockatoos, the rare mallee fowl, various skink species, red and western grey kangaroos, and shy echidnas. Visitors can enjoy remote camping at five self-sufficient bush campsites accessible only by 4WD vehicles or adventure motorcycles. Birdwatching opportunities abound, and the park also features relics of pastoral history. Entry is free, but camping fees apply, and prior online booking is required.
