Nestled in the picturesque Byng Valley, the Byng Church is a charming sandstone structure with a red-tipped spire, steep roof, and fretwork eaves. Built in 1872 to replace an earlier chapel, it stands as a testament to the area's rich Cornish heritage. The church, now a Uniting Church, is frequently used for weddings and other events, offering a serene and historic setting. Opposite the church lies a small cemetery, where visitors can find the grave of Parson William Tom, credited with discovering the first payable gold in Australia.
