Byaduk Caves, nestled within Mount Napier State Park, showcase Australia's most extensive lava caves. Formed approximately 30,000 years ago, these caves were created when lava from Mount Napier solidified on the surface, allowing molten lava to flow beneath, forming intricate underground tubes. The largest cave measures 18 meters wide, 10 meters high, and extends 20 meters below the surface. Accessible by 2WD vehicles with ample parking, visitors can enjoy a short walk along trails interconnecting the caves, offering surface-level viewing areas.
