Our Kitchen Social Enterprise

Our Kitchen Social Enterprise, located at 11 Tuppen Drive, Sebastopol VIC 3356, is a vibrant community initiative operating from the Ballarat South Community Hub's commercial kitchen. Open on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 am to 2 pm, it offers workforce development and integration training programs for long-term unemployed individuals referred by Jobs Victoria Work & Learning Centre and Workforce Australia partners. Participants engage in hospitality-focused courses, including the 'Cooking Up Jobs' program, where they learn basic kitchen skills and prepare meals for weekly community lunches. These lunches, held on Fridays during school terms, provide a two-course meal for $15, fostering social connections and offering generous portions in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The enterprise also coordinates catering services through Our Kitchen Social Cafe. As a certified Social Traders social enterprise since 2018, Our Kitchen Social Enterprise is committed to creating genuine impact and supporting a fairer, more equitable Australia.
